Market players reported that there is a decrease in dried fig demands. However, it is also stated that exporters are not willing to sell products due to fluctuations in exchange rates and raw material prices. Raw material prices vary between 50-60 TL/kg and even more at the market. It is also cold and snowy in Aydin Province as in the whole of Turkey, which is very good for this period. Dried figs exporters also complain about the lack of container availability as with the other dried fruit exporters.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.39 TL (13.44 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.15 TL levels (15.35 last week).
Turkey exported 1404 mt of dried figs and figs products, being 1456 mt during the same week of last year. The total exports range at 34.828 mt, being 35.303 mt in total in the same period last year.
