FAO to Purchase Seed Potatoes for War-affected Areas

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is announcing a tender for the purchase and delivery of potato seeds to support vulnerable households in rural areas during the spring planting campaign.

The potato seeds will be distributed in nine of the most affected regions along the frontline: Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovs’k, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa.

A total of 2.6 thousand tons of certified potato seeds will be purchased, which will be distributed in sets of 25 kg each. As part of this tender, potential suppliers can submit proposals for the entire volume or for individual batches of the required seed material.

To participate in the tender, suppliers need to submit an application through the UN Global Marketplace by selecting this tender: Tender for procurement of potato seeds to Ukraine. The deadline for submission of the application is March 6, 2023, 11:00 (Kyiv time).
