Due to this Shravan month, the demand of garlic in the market was quite low in last month.

In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan It is estimated that the crop has gone out on a sustainable basis

The price of garlic is low in the market this year and the average price is currently $0,38 to $0,78 per kg. The prices are unlikely to go down in the market for the next few days. At the same time the market experts state about the garlic boom that there is no chance of a boom in the garlic market before Diwali. It is also certain that the market will not go down.

The yield of the garlic crop was very low this year and wastage was high. The farmers sold good quality garlic in the market. The main reason for the deterioration of garlic this year is that when it was planted last year, the soil was wet and the farmers had already planted it, as a result of which they did not succeed.

Demand is extremely cold and daily in all states of the country 1.25 to 1.50 million sacks are earned, against which about one million sacks are sold in the market.

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are estimated to still have 30 to 40 percent of garlic left and over 60 percent of the crop has gone. In Gujarat, it is estimated that more than 50 percent of the crop has fallen with the farmers. Saurashtra farmers have been thinking of selling garlic during Diwali.

Garlic planting seems to decrease in Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan in the new season, but Saurashtra planting will increase, as farmers will get free prices of seeds this year, farmers will plant garlic at risk. Planting will start after Navratri and during Diwali.

Dehydration garlic also has low prices in the market this year. Unshortening flakes are currently available at $0,44 per kg. Seven to eight factories are in operation. As the garlic is weak, it does not germinate this year, as a result the new one does not become special. The old stock of 12 to 13 thousand tons has fallen and the new stock has become four to five thousand tons.

This is a year that has not been seen in last five decades in garlic

The price of garlic in the market is stable and prices are hovering between $ 0,10 to 0,19 per kg. In the short term, the price of garlic is likely to remain stable in the market. There are less possibility of improvement in the market as the annual demand in garlic remains sufficient.

Export demand in garlic is also not at all this year. From Madhya Pradesh some retail exports are made, but this has no impact on the market.

The stock of garlic with the traders is also not special this year as the stockist had suffered earlier season. Some of the retail stocks that have been made by the traders have been done at a price of $2,51 to $5,04 per 20 kg, as a result of which such stockists are also losing garlic. One trader stated that in his 50 years of business experience in garlic market, he has never seen an entire season recession.

Even in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, about 60 percent of the crop has gone and there is no demand in the market, the quality of Madhya Pradesh garlic is relatively good. This year, it is difficult to get bullish due to large stocks available in the market with traders and stockists.
