Turkish Ministry of National Defence made a written statement regarding the extension of the grain corridor agreement signed after the invasion of Ukraine, which will expire on 18 March.
As the ministry noted, Turkey highly appreciates the steps taken by the parties regarding the continuation of the initiative. In particular, Russia’s statement that it will support the extension of the agreement for another 60 days.
The Ministry shared the information that Hulusi Akar, the Minister of National Defence, ‘continues negotiations and coordination with his interlocutors and the relevant authorities continue negotiations and coordination among themselves in order to extend the agreement in accordance with the agreement, taking into account the demands of the parties’.
