Bejing – According to exporters’ feedback, GWS pumpkin seeds are currently insufficient, and farmers want higher prices.
Exporters live from hand to mouth and hope for de-stocking from the new harvest in October. However, they also do not want to store large stocks over the summer.
Buyers also report that the new crop could be up to 5% higher for GWS pumpkin seeds.
Experts warn, however, that there will hardly be any layer stocks left, let alone surpluses. So, in general, prices are expected to rise until the new harvest.
