Over 32.2 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were sold from Ukraine from the beginning of the current season to March 1, which is about 11 million tons lower than in the same period last marketing year. At the same time, in the previous month, traders shipped 5.2 million tons of products. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country.
As noted in the department, in the context of grain crops in Ukraine 2022/23 MY, supplies decreased in all categories: corn – from 19.33 million tons to 18.6 million tons; wheat – from 18.1 million tons to 11.33 million tons; barley – from 5.64 million tons to 2.05 million tons; rye – from 161.9 thousand tons to 16.1 thousand tons.
Meanwhile, Ukraine in the current season began to ship more products with high added value to foreign markets: in particular, by March 1, the total export of flour is 98.9 thousand tons (a season earlier – 68 thousand tons), including wheat – 94.9 thousand tons (66.6 thousand tons).
