India: Cumin prices stayed steady in the market

MUMBAI – The cumin prices in the mandis have increased from last month and have been holding steady. However, in July, Cumin prices opened at USD 1,94 per kg FOB dropped to USD 1,92 per kg FOB before picking up towards the end of the month.

The cumin market closed the month at USD 1,94 per kg FOB. However, fortunately for the traders and farmers of cumin, the market is looking good now. In August, the price of the cumin is currently at USD 1,95 per kg FOB and is holding that price.

With steady domestic demand and a good spice supply, the market is predicted to stay stable. In the coming months, with the festival and wedding season and the lifting of the COVID-19 restriction, the prices are likely to improve.
