The sesame market has been stable. Stockists want to sell, but there is less buying overall. Low demand is keeping the market stable and might lead to a downtrend. The domestic market is getting down a few cents per kg from the last few days. The rupee is also depreciating against the dollar that is why the domestic market went down a bit, but prices for exports in dollars on FOB levels remained the same.
Many brokers and traders informed us that there are no deals for sesame seeds. At present, suppliers are buying sesame to ship the Korean tender, which was issued a few weeks back. If this situation remains for long, the chances are that the market can go further down from this point. Traders hope that some good demand will rise in the sesame market next month in January. Fewer arrivals were noted in the Gujarat market for white and back sesame seeds.
