A long-awaited Korean tender of 12,000 tons has arrived in the market. The Korean Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation, 227, Munhwa-ro, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do Korea [58326] has announced the tender. The tender is in three parts. The last date to bid is 29th June 2022 for invitation for bids from all around the world.
There are quite many suppliers in the international market to get Sesame seeds tender from Korea. The tender has been declared and India might get most of the tender quantity successfully, as the new summer crop has arrived in markets. The arrivals are good and prices are competitive in India as of now. The production this season in Gujarat is 1,20,000-1,30,000 tons out of which 25,000 to 30,000 tons have arrived in domestic markets. The possibilities are more that India might get the complete tender because the previous tender was also completely given to India.

One more important point is that the announcement has been made by Government that the MSP (Minimum Support Price) should increase by 0.70 per Kg in domestic market, to safe guard farmers. The price of sesame seeds in spot markets for 99-1 and cortex is around 1.36 $/Kg and 1.43 $/Kg.
