According to APK-Inform news agency, this week the majority of Ukrainian millers continue to gradually reduce the purchase prices for milling wheat. The decrease in the purchasing activity of processors due to difficulties with the sale of flour and the presence of previously existing volumes of raw materials in some flour mills for work in the medium term remained key pressure factors. However, difficulties in purchasing wheat with higher quality indicators due to the restraint of sales by farmers provide some support to prices.
The problems with Grain Corridor also caused weaker demand from exporters.
So, as of May 25, purchasing prices for milling wheat are fixed mainly within 170-180 USD/t CPT. This is around 5-10 USD/t lower than a week ago. Feed wheat prices remained on the same level – 160-170 USD/T CPT.
