Organic Buckwheat Kernel: Prices Stabilize Before the Spring Festival at China

DALIAN: Since mid-January, the demand for organic buckwheat kernels in the export market has been weak, and the export volume has dropped by 22 % compared with December. The Chinese New Year is approaching, exporters have insufficient power to replenish, the operating rate of processing plants is low, some production is suspended, and the amount of raw grain is insufficient. Prices are expected to be stable before the Spring Festival. In the domestic market, grain merchants in producing areas are slow to trade, and work stoppages are not uncommon, resulting in a deadlock in market purchases and sales. Russian buckwheat lacks a price advantage and cannot impact domestic organic buckwheat kernels. It is expected that domestic buckwheat prices will not fluctuate significantly before the Spring Festival. Watch for changes in downstream demand and export markets.
