YUNNAN: It was announced this week that the price of large organic white kidney beans in China has fallen for several consecutive weeks.
This week’s export offer has fallen to FOB TIANJIN US$1720 (65ps/100) per tonne. Kidney bean exports are still complicated, and there is little demand. Exporters predict that they expect demand to increase and then hope for stable, steady prices.
But it will probably remain a pious hope for the time being because there are still high stocks, which put further pressure on prices. Currently, producers are offering standard organic white kidney beans for US$1690/tonne to reduce stocks. Mainly sold to canneries and food factories.
