Most traders purchase imported common lentils at low prices. Imported lentils meet the needs of the domestic market, while domestic organic lentils are more challenging to sell.
At present, domestic manufacturers mainly sell inventory. Domestic high-quality organic lentils enter the mid-to-high-end market. In terms of export, the price of organic lentils is US$1.630-1.670 per ton. Foreign importers reflect that import costs are too high and cautious in purchasing. Sea freight rates remain high, booking space is complex, and the export situation is difficult to change in the short term.
