At present, there is a very sluggish atmosphere in the international market of groundnut. Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and other Far East countries, are the biggest buyers of Indian Java peanuts. But they had bought more essential things like wheat, rice, sugar, etc. Due to this, the export of Indian groundnut grain has been very slow for a long time.
China has reduced the purchase of groundnut and groundnut oil in the current year. Last year, China had bought a record break of groundnut oil from India, but China bought the commodity from Brazil in the current year. Due to the large cargo availability of groundnut oil from African countries, the purchase of Indian groundnut oil has been reduced. In India, the export of bold groundnut seeds has also decreased in the current year due to the low crop of bold groundnut grain and the high price of groundnut oil here.
The estimate of groundnut crop in the Kharif season was supposed to be very high in the initial phase, but later due to the damage to the groundnut crop due to rain, groundnut production was reduced.
The price of edible oils is high due to the rise in palm oil- soya oil; the price of groundnut oil is also high. Due to this, despite the low export demand of groundnut oil, the farmers have gotten the groundnut price better than in previous years.
