Three bulk carriers with corn and soybeans left Ukrainian ports on Thursday, according to the Joint Coordination Center (JCC).

“On January 5, three ships left Ukrainian ports, they carry a total of 156,745 tons of grain and other food as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” the report said.

Two bulk carriers Maha Tanaya (69,145 tons of corn) and Star Galaxy (66.5 thousand tons of corn) are heading to China. The Saadet C vessel carries 22.1 thousand tons of soybeans to Spain.

Six bulk carriers are also sent to the ports, which on January 5 passed through the humanitarian corridor.

The SCC reported that “75 applications for participation in the initiative were submitted.”

“As of January 5, the total tonnage of grain and other agricultural products exported from three Ukrainian ports is 16,787,261 tons. In total, at the moment, the movement of 1,245 vessels has been allowed: 619 to arrive in Ukrainian ports and 626 to leave them,” the center summed up.
