Turkey started with rain and even snow forecasts for this week. Market players report that the Market has been very calm for weeks, the demands are very poor, and almost no new contracts are made. TMO has started selling dried raisins, but there is not that much interest from the exporters since there is still enough product available.
The transactions at the Commodity Exchange in Izmir remain as before calm; traded volumes are small. Raw material prices remained as before. The speed of the exports also slowed down slightly last week. Organic sultana raisins are sold at 19-20 TL/kg.
Exporters offer still at 1500-1550 Usd/mt on FOB Izmir basis for type nr.9 and 2000-2200 Usd/mt on FOB Izmir basis for organic type nr.9.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.81 TL (13.62 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.51 TL levels (15.49 last week).
Turkey’s total exports range at 130.323 mt until 26 Feb. 2022, which was 121.228 mt last year during the same period. Turkey exported 3.542 mt of sultana raisins last week, being 4088 mt during the same week of the previous Season.
