BEIJING – Snack sunflower seeds market trading is slow. The market demand is weak, and so is the purchasing enthusiasm of merchants in general. But farmers have no more big stocks in their hands, and traders are reluctant to sell at low prices. Therefore, according to Zhuochuang Information expects at the short term stable prices for food for sunflower seeds.
The domestic oil sunflower market supply is less, but the downstream demand is not flourishing as well. Merchants are cautious in purchasing edible sunflower seeds. Exporters are mainly selling inventory, but at low prices, they are reluctant to sell.
There are some imports of Russian sunflower seeds for oil crushing. Such goods usually go to smaller oil factories for the production of edible sunflower oil.
It is expected that the price of sunflower seeds will be stable or slightly decrease in the short term. This week, the price dropped to USD 1.140 /mt FOB Dalian.
