Dry Ginger Prices Plummet: Brace for Further Decrease - Ginger's Chilling Momentum and Dry Ginger's Potential Rise

The Rise of Dry Ginger Prices: Surge in Dry Ginger Demand

Spread the news!

The onset of winter in Northern India, including the capital city of Delhi, has fueled a substantial demand for dry ginger. This increased demand has led to a significant price hike. Currently, dry ginger is witnessing an upward price trajectory and is expected to maintain its strength in the market.

As the winter chill deepens, there has been a marked increase in dry ginger sales. However, the supply is not keeping pace with the heightened demand. The decrease in ginger supplies from key regions like Bangalore has impacted the market. In Delhi, ginger prices have seen a recent increase, now averaging around USD 1.38-1,44 per kg (approximately €1,26-1,31 per kg).

Price Fluctuations

The escalation in prices is not limited to fresh ginger; dry ginger is also experiencing a surge. Stockists are reporting increased sales, attributed to the tight supply and rising temperatures. The price of dry ginger has recently escalated to USD 4,32-4,38 per kg(about €3,94-4,00 per kg), following a prior increase.
In Kochi, a key market in Kerala, the arrival of new dry ginger has not significantly influenced the prices, which remain high. The price of dry ginger in Kochi has increased, currently at USD 4,56-4,80 per kg (approximately €4,16-4,38 per kg).

The dry ginger market is expected to stay robust in the coming days, driven by these dynamics. The significant demand and limited supply, along with the seasonal factors, are contributing to the continuing strength of dry ginger prices.
