What does the agreement cover?

According to the statement made by the Ministry, the memorandum of understanding in question covers the adaptation of the agricultural sector to climate change, developing and promoting technologies in the field of agriculture, especially related to climate change, post-harvest techniques and agricultural product processing, animal husbandry and crop production, including plant, seed and veterinary certificates, health and animal health issues, The cooperation includes cooperation on ensuring a sustainable supply of agricultural products, biotechnology, organic agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture and development of quality policy in agriculture, water management in agriculture, in particular monitoring of water pollution from agricultural activities and efficient use of water in the agricultural sector.

It is envisaged that a working group will be established to consult on the necessary procedures and measures to enhance and develop cooperation in the aforementioned areas and that this group will hold meetings in both countries on a rotational basis as needed.
