ODESA: At the beginning of the season 2022/23 Ukraine has formed huge carry-over stocks of grain crops which are not typical for the country.
In particular, the carry-over stocks of wheat in Ukraine amounted to 5.3-5.5 million tons (50% higher than the same indicator of the previous season). Barley – 1.1 million tons (+14%). Corn – 7.7 million tons (+300%). These figures put pressure on the price environment and the market situation in general.
According to the results of the season, Ukraine remained in the top ten largest producers of the main grain products in the world: for wheat – 7th position, for barley – 4th, for corn – 6th.
The country also managed to maintain the status of one of the main exporters of grain, entering the TOP-5. In particular, in terms of wheat shipments, Ukraine ranks 5th in the world ranking, in barley – 3rd, in corn – 4th.
