Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure announced that the country’s ships were kept waiting in the strait by Russian inspection teams.
In a statement made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry, it was stated that a total of 99 ships, including 73 ships bound for Ukrainian ports for loading and 22 ships bound for Africa, Asia and Europe, were kept waiting.
According to the statement, 9 ships loaded with grain departed from Odesa Port in the last two days. On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that three Russian soldiers were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a military airbase in southern Russia where strategic bombers are based.
No aircraft were damaged, the Tass news agency reported, citing the ministry. With this attack, the Engels base in Russia’s Saratov region was hit for the second time this month.
Russia retaliated against Ukraine in early December by launching air and sea-launched missiles at Ukraine’s energy and communications infrastructure.
