ODESA – As of September 30, Ukrainian farmers have finished harvesting sunflowers from an area of more than 2 million hectares. This is 31% of the forecast, and 4.2 million tons of grain were threshed. As of the reporting date, the average crop yield in Ukraine is 2.1 mt/ha.
Despite good crop forecasts in Ukraine, prices are not going to fall. At the end of the week, oilseeds even continue to rise in price. The cost of sunflower in the ports of the Odesa region for the day increased by 200 UAH/mt to the mark of 18 600 UAH/mt, which is 597 EUR/mt.
