ODESA: As of September 8, the harvesting of grains in Ukraine was carried out on area of 6.726 million hectares (or 60% of the planned). 25.9 million tons of grain were harvested with an average yield of 3.84 tons per hectare. This was reported on September 9 by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
In particular, at the reporting date:
Wheat – 19.2 million tons from 4.7 million hectares (99% of the planned);
Barley – 5.5 million tons from 1.6 million hectares (100%);
Peas – 250.2 thousand tons from 109.3 thousand ha (98%);
Corn -18.4 thousand tons from only 3.9 thousand hectares (0.1%);
Buckwheat – 30.6 thousand tons from 21.2 thousand hectares (18%);
Millet – 42.2 thousand tons from 16.5 thousand hectares (37%).
Harvesting of oilseeds also continues:
Sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of 251.4 thousand hectares (5% of the plan), 392 thousand tons of seeds were harvested. The area of harvested soybeans is 26.8 thousand hectares (1.8%), 70.9 thousand tons have been harvested. Rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1.096 million hectares (100%), 3.1 million tons were harvested.
