DALIAN – Buckwheat China, Monitoring.
According to customs data, China’s total export volume of buckwheat from January to May was 3,219.31 tonnes, down 52.79% year-on-year.
Export orders from Chinese ports are insufficient and foreign demand is weak. Domestic demand for buckwheat and buckwheat products is also weak. High temperatures nationwide and poorer crop prospects have not led to further price increases.
Farmers are now hoping for more rainfall, which could lead to further price easing.
