The arrival of coriander has increased recently in the spot markets of major producing states due to increased selling by the farmers. Due to this, not only did it break the rising prices, but it also saw a slight slowdown. There is the possibility of a further increase in the selling of coriander in the coming days. Hence the price is not expected to rise for a long time.

After Madhya Pradesh, now Rajasthan rainfall situation has improved. After rain in western Rajasthan a few days ago, now Hadoti has also received enough rain. Due to this, the speed of sowing of various Kharif crops has increased. There is also the news of the closure of the Baran spot market of Rajasthan due to heavy rains.

Earlier, the arrival of coriander in the Baran spot market of the Hadoti area increased to about two-and-a-half thousand sacks. In the Ramganj spot market, about five and a half thousand sacks were reported to have arrived. Despite the arrival being comparatively high, the price of coriander was reported to remain at the previous day’s level. It was also noted there was an atmosphere of stability in the wholesale price of coriander in the spot markets of Rajasthan.

Except for a few areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh during the current season, other states of the country have received rain, which has been more than usual during July.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, coarse coriander sales have been sluggish for some time now. Even after this, coriander remains strong in the main spices of Rajasthan. In most of the spot markets, stockists have had limited selling earlier.

As a result, with an increase in the arrival in the coming days, there is little to no chance of a price increase for the spice.
