ODESA: Bulk carrier “ROJEN” got the opportunity to leave the port of Chornomorsk and become the first ship to pass through the grain corridor.

According to USM, the bulk carrier of the Bulgarian company Rojen Maritime Ltd. arrived to Ukraine in winter. On February 21, the vessel entered Chornomorsk port. It had to be loaded with export grain. However, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine changed the original plan, and the vessel was effectively blocked. Two months later, in April, the Bulgarian shipowner was able to rotate the crew of the bulk carrier.

It is known that 40 thousand tons of corn were loaded on this vessel. Previously, the destination was Spain, but now the MarineTraffic resource says that the ship will go to the UK.

It is noted that the grain corridor will be used at first by vessels that have been in Ukrainian ports since winter. After that new vessels will be able to come to Ukrainian ports for export cargo.
