Holi festival is over. The black pepper market remained stable at the previous level of $ 7,07 per kg due to sluggish buying on the opening trading on Monday. Recently it has come down by $0,13 per kg. There was a weekly holiday in Kochi this week. Earlier, the arrival of black pepper was reported to be negligible and remained at the same level throughout the week. There is no hope of improvement in the spot pepper prices in the next few days.
Future Trend
Buying remained sluggish even at the reduced prices. In Karnataka markets, the price of black pepper was reported to have stopped at $ 6,55 /6,68 per kg and in Kochi at $ 6,68 /6,87 per kg. As of now, there is no chance of black pepper intensifying in the spot in the next one or two days.
