According to a report, Scientists from Varanasi-based ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research have developed this new variety of chilli. The remarkable thing is that scientists have named this new variety as VPBC-535. This variety looks precisely like red chilli in colour. This is the reason why it will also be used to make lipstick. This means now this variety will also work to enhance the beauty of women.
A medicinal property
Varieties were made available for cultivation, and when VPBC-535 ripens, its colour turns completely red. A medicinal property is found in it, which is called oleoresin. Due to its medicinal properties, it can also be used as a medicine.
They said that VPBC-535 produces more than regular crops because more fertilizers are used. At the same time, to cultivate chilli, it is necessary to sow 400 to 500 grams of seeds in one hectare of land. If you take care of all the parameters during its cultivation, you can produce chillies up to 1.5 kg per hectare. The remarkable thing is that it can be cultivated in both Rabi and Kharif seasons. Now scientists are preparing a plan to develop this variety.
