ODESA: On August 30th, Ukrainian. parliament took the last step towards “customs visa-free” with the European Union, passing two extremely important laws.
The deputies adopted the draft law “On the accession of Ukraine to the Convention on simplification of formalities in trade” (No. 0165). The law will ensure the fulfillment of obligations stipulated by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
In addition, parliamentarians supported the draft law “On the accession of Ukraine to the Convention on the procedure of common transit” (No. 0166). This will allow the application of European transit rules and will enable entrepreneurs to use a single customs declaration and a single guarantee for the movement of goods.
As a result, there will be a significant acceleration and cheaper movement of goods, which will benefit all participants – exporters, carriers and importers.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed these documents on the same day.
