Ukraine Increases Export of Oilseeds and Processed Products in September

Almost 4 million tons of grains, legumes, oilseeds and products of their processing were exported from Ukraine in the first 18 days of September, which is twice the level of the first half of August. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country.

As specified in the department, since the beginning of this month, 365,000 tons of sunflower oil have been sold to foreign markets, which is twice as much as was exported from August 1 to 15. The export of soybean oil added only 2.5 thousand tons – up to 16.5 thousand tons.

As for oilseeds, twice as much rapeseed and soybeans were sent abroad – 577 thousand tons and 125 thousand tons, respectively.

The export of sunflower seeds is ahead of the August data by 13% – 108 thousand tons of this crop were exported in September.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, shipments of meal also increased in September – by 102 thousand tons, up to 271 thousand tons.

“The overall picture of the volume of agricultural products that actually crossed the border of Ukraine, as a percentage for the first half of September, is as follows: 32% – corn, 25.81% – wheat, 9.31% – sunflower oil, 2.76% – sunflower seeds, 14.74 % – rapeseed, 6.92% – meal, barley – 4.82%, soybeans – 3.19%, soybean oil – 0.42%. The export of agricultural products in the context of its transportation for the first two weeks of September is as follows: 2.9 million tons were sent by ports, 622 thousand tons by rail, 379 thousand tons by road, 18.2 thousand tons by ferry”, added the ministry.
