China’s demand for buckwheat is surprising

In the same period, China’s buckwheat output reached 546,000 tons, up 12.3 percent compared with the previous year (about 486,000 tons). Among them, Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi are the regions with the largest buckwheat planting area in China, with 11.5 million tons and 89,000 tons respectively, with 204,000 tons, accounting for nearly 40% of the total output.

Overall, the current supply of buckwheat in China is slightly lower than demand. Still, thanks to the popularity of buckwheat among consumers at home and abroad in recent years, both the growers and exporters are full of confidence.
