Monsoon is over in Rajasthan by last week. After Dussehra, the new crop sowing in large quantities is expected. However, at present, the arrival of coriander in the mandis of major producing states and its price remains in a limited range. Therefore, there is no possibility of increasing coriander in the spot markets in the coming days.

At present, harvesting of Kharif crops is going on in many states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. As soon as the harvesting of Kharif crops is over, the sowing of the new crops of coriander starts. Coriander sowing usually starts around the Dussehra festival. The major producing states of coriander have received sufficient monsoon rains so far. However, due to the increase in the sale of farmers once again, the arrival of coriander in Ramganj Mandi of Rajasthan increased to about 4000 sacks. Due to relatively high arrivals, there was information about a slight slowdown in coriander recently.

Earlier, the price was stable in the wholesale of the mandis of Rajasthan.

According to the Spices Board data, in the April-July period of the current financial year 2022-23, 15,020 tonnes of coriander worth $ 2,47 million have been exported from the country. In the year-ago period, it had exported 17,863 tonnes and earned $ 1,95 million. This shows that while exports of coriander have declined by 16 percent in quantitative terms, earnings have jumped by 27 percent as its domestic prices remained high throughout the season. The market sentiment may be affected due to the possible sowing of new coriander crops. There is no hope by traders that the coriander market will further go up in the coming days.

The Coriander seeds prices were Recorded at $1,50 per kg FOB.
